Television Centre

The redevelopment of the historic BBC Television Centre in White City has transformed this landmark site into a vibrant new neighbourhood. Orlight were appointed to supply the lighting package for Plots E and G, supporting the scheme’s ambition to combine heritage with contemporary design.

The specification incorporated the ORION TR recessed downlight, a refined fixture chosen for its quality illumination and understated design.

Our complimentary surface luminaire system known as MAC 450, previously known as ORLLED450 C 9016, provided efficient output with the resilience required for a wide range of applications.

To ensure durability and long term performance, the package also included the ORLWP5 Weatherpack system in DALI variants, offering both strength and controllability. Together, these fittings provided a cohesive lighting solution that balances functionality, efficiency and architectural character.

Through this coordinated approach, Orlight delivered a robust and versatile scheme that supports the successful regeneration of the Television Centre's residential developments.
